Sarah Elmira Marsh was born on 27 Feb 1892 in Texas, daughter of James Lawson Marsh (1869–1951) and Elizabeth Perry (1871–1943).[1]
In 1900, Sarah was living in Justice Precinct 7, Karnes, Texas. [1]
Sarah and Elza Clinton Melvin were married on 31 Oct 1906. Elzie was born on 29 May 1882 in Bedford, Lawrence County, Indiana. He was the son of Melford LaFayette Melvin and Nancy Jane (Barton) Melvin. Their children were:
- Vera Lee Melvin (about 1907–1929)
- Aubrey Rozell Melvin (1910–1993)
- Jesse Woodrow Melvin (1917–2003)
- Calvin Ray Melvin (1926–1998)
