Biography
Margaret was born in 1815 in Economy, Colchester, Nova Scotia, Canada to Joshua Marsh and Elizabeth "Betsy" Susan Palmeter. Around 1842, she married David McHuron Calkins. They would have nine children: Edward David (1843-1928), Amelia (1844-1931), Homer LeRoy (1846-1929), Reuben Arthur (1849-1933), Cicero Charles (1850-1948), Alice Udora (1850-1923), Wallace David (1853-1938), Emily Elizabeth (1857-1910) and Nellie (1858-1922). Margaret died on December 3, 1858, just eight days after Nellie was born.
