Biography

Micaiah Marshall, was born at Lyme in 1790, and by occupation was a farmer.

On June 30, 1811, he married first Charlotte Kimball, she died in March, 1816. Children:

  1. Polly, born June 8, 1812
  2. Francis, born August 5, 1813
  3. Chauncy, born July 20, 1814
  4. Charlotte, born December 16, 1815.

For his second wife, Mr. Marshall wedded Martha Suthard, December 25, 1817. Her birth occurred on February 12, 1798, she died 9 Dec 1865. By this union were born twelve children, as follows:

  1. B. S., born September 24, 1818, died February 12, 1839;
  2. Martha P., born September 17, 1820, died December 10, 1890
  3. Anson S., born December 3, 1823, was accidentally shot July 4, 1874
  4. David E., born February 4, 1825, died February 16, 1852
  5. C. S. born March 22, 1827, died December 30, 1856
  6. Elizabeth K., born March 16, 1829, died September 26, 1845
  7. George C., born January 28, 1831, died December 27, 1883
  8. Harriet E., born May 6, 1833, died December 19, 1860
  9. Mary, born January 10, 1835, is the wife of our subject;
  10. Sarah T., born February 15, 1837, died July 9, 1849;
  11. Luena L., born July 6, 1841, died April 29, 1863
  12. Jane E., born August 10, 1845, died March 26, 1879.

Mr. Marshall later wedded a third time to Eliza K. Russ, who was born August 16, 1807 and died December 18, 1893.

He departed this life 23 May 1882. He is buried at Old Lyme Cemetery.[1]
