Biography
He was instrumental in the development of the first Baylis Fire Protection District, holding the office of secretary. He was a grain & livestock farmer, trustee for the Fairmount Township & served as treasurer of the Woodland Cemetery Assn for 38 years. He married Mardelle Allen on June 26, 1943, in Bowling Green, Pike Co, MO. They are buried in the Woodland Cemetery, Baylis, Pike Co, IL.
