James Martin, Private, 16th Tennessee Infantry, Company A. Enlisted May 18, 1861 at Camp Harris, Tennessee.[1]
James, son of Robert Martin and Jennie Jane Adcock Martin, was born about 1841 in Warren County, Tennessee.
James does appear to be son of Robert Martin. He is on the 1860 census with Robert and wife Jane in Warren County, Tennessee.[2] But where is he in 1850? He is not on the census with family; youngest child listed is Catherine.[3]
