Biography

The son of John Martin Jr and his first wife, Mary (Wiggins) Martin, John Martin was born in the village of Perry, New York[citation needed] in 1865, residing there with his family.[1] His mother passed away in 1874 and his father remarried, marrying Mary (Keeton) Martin. In 1880, John lived with his family in Perry.[2] He married Mary M. Bryant (1868-), the daughter of John M. Bryant and Mary Parks Marcy, marrying around 1887[citation needed] and having four known children together:

  1. Harold G. Martin (1890-)
  2. Florence E. Martin (1892-)
  3. Leon Brown Martin (1897-)
  4. Mary E. Martin (1900-)

They made their home in Castile Township, New York,[3][4][5] John Martin passed away at the age of 57 and is buried at Hope cemetery in Perry, New York.[6]
