Edward was born in 1891, the son of Frederick William Ditmas Martin and Annie Grainger. Originally enlisting with the 20th Battalion [1] in 1915, he rejoined the 19/18th Battalion [2] in 1917, and also the Army Citizen Military Forces [3] in 1939. He passed away in 1956.
