John Gill Mathie was born in 1893, and his birth was registered at Nowra, NSW.[1] He was the son of Malcolm Mathie and Catherine Gill.
He married his first cousin once removed Lillian Anne Watt in 1916.[2] They lived at Wandandian where John was involved in the timber industry. Lillian died suddenly in 1928.
He died at Wandandian, NSW, on the 14th of January, 1961.[3][4]
