Biography

Matt McBrien is an Ohioan.

Matthew David McBrien was born to Private (Living) and Private (Living) on 26 Jan 1983 in Bluffton, Ohio. The family lived in nearby Findlay, Ohio.

In 2001, he graduated from Findlay High School. He joined the United States Air Force, serving until 2007. Following his enlistment, he returned to Findlay. In 2010, he married Private (Living). They separated in 2013. Together they had one child:

He continues to live in Findlay where he works in IT. He holds a Master of Arts in History from Liberty University, where he is also currently ABD for a Doctor of Arts in History, with his dissertation in progress related to the American Civil War.

Projects

Aside from my own family, friends, and whatever else I stumble into working on I have also begun working on a project to make profiles for every member of the 57th Ohio Infantry Regiment. This is the Civil War regiment most local to my current location. I find it quite interesting recognizing people and places I have heard of while working through it.
