Research Notes

Need to do careful comparisons of the Bartley and Bartlet names. There years of birth a drastically different on censuses, grave markers, etc. Which one was married to Elizabeth Seay? The year of birth (1836) for Allen McCall whose mother is listed as Elizabeth Seay (b 1824-1825 in 1870 Census) and Father is listed as Bartly McCall would make Elizabeth Seay born 1836 10 years of age or under. Something isn't adding up. I don't believe she was pregnant at 8 or 9 years of age. Maybe the census was wrong.

Find A Grave Memorial# 31743207 has photo of Elizabeth McCall's tombstone showing she died at 80 years of age on Oct. 14, 1895. Making her born in 1815.

Is this the same as Elizabeth Seay McCall in the 1870 Census being b. 1824-1825?

Allen N. McCall married Missouri Sellers on January 19, 1868 in Geneva, AL. Missouri was named as the wife of Allen McCall on his death certificate.
