OBITUARY.
MR. ERNEST McCARRON.
The death occurred after a long illness, at Canowindra on Saturday, of Mr. Ernest McCarron, a well-known resident of Reedy Creek. Deceased was a Victorian native, and about 47 years of age, and a member of a family of 11 sons. He came here about 10 years ago, and settled on the land, and during his residence in this district, acquired many friends and was held in the highest esteem.
He was a member of the Manildra P.and A. committee for a couple of terms, and took a keen interest in numerous movements for the benefit of the town and district. He was a sufferer with an internal complaint, and general sympathy will be extended to his widow and family, for his passing at an early age. The interment was made in the Presbyterian portion of Canowindra cemetery, the funeral cortege being a particularly long one. A beautiful floral tribute was amongst the many which covered the coffin, coming from Manildra Presbyterian community, for which deceased was a prominent worker. Messrs. C. McCarron (Canowindra) and G.McCarron (Trundle, formerly of Manildra) are brothers.
