Biography
Margaret was born to Joshua McCauley (from Virginia) and Jane Rusk (also from Virginia) in Kentucky. She moved to Harrison County, Indiana with her mother and siblings and eventually married Elijah Walden there. After his death, she made her way to Clay County, IL (she had several family members in Clay and Richland Counties in Illinois) where she married Absolem Fields (no children). She also married a Hezekiah Topping and possibly had a child with him, but the marraige ended quickly. With Elijah Walden, she had several children who were raised by her in Clay County, Illinois. She is buried in No. 4 Cemetery in Clay County, IL.
