Ben McClary, a miner at the Moseley Mines, was overcome by foul air in shaft yesterday morning and the hoisterman started to pull him out but he fell out of the tub when 30 ft up. He was terribly bruised and died a few hours afterward from the injuries and the effects of the damp.
