Biography
John Arthur McClurg was born on March 12, 1870, in Scranton, Iowa. He was the son of James McClurg and Rocella Taylor, his father, James, was 23 and his mother, Rocella, was 20.
He married Katherine E. Cox in 1893 in Greene, Iowa. They had five children in 12 years.
He passed away on June 3, 1948, in his hometown at the age of 78, and was buried there.
