Biography
Charity was born in 1836. She was the daughter of Jabez McCorkle and Nancy Fristoe. She passed away in 1863. She was killed in the collapse of the Union Jail for Women in Kansas City along with four other women who had been arrested for allegedly spying for the Confederacy. There are a multitude of accounts of this event that can be found.
