James was born February 1902. He is the son of James McCourt , occupation Labourer and Anne Sands. ^[1]

1911 Residents of house 5 in Mineveigh, Tullyniskane, Tyrone, we find James who is 53 years old , occupation is that of a Farmer, Annie is 36, her occupation is also recorded as a Farmer, children in the household are, Edward who is 11, and attending School, (Scholar), James is 9, attending School, (Scholar), Owen 5, years old, John 7, attending School, (Scholar) and Catherin who is 3 years old. ^[2]
