Biography

She was born in 1897 in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas to James Edgar Gordon McDonald (1867–1937) and Estella Stella D (Clemmons) McDonald (1879–1903).^[1] Her mother died when she was about six years old. Debbie married Oscar Arthur Payne on 17 Mar 1913 in Canada.^{[citation needed]}

They were in Canada for a while. A two-year-old daughter named Bertha is listed, but she does not turn up on the 1930 record. She could have died or been married by 1930.^[2] According to the 1930 US Census, they had at least three children:^[3]

Both Debbie and Oscar lived to a great age. Debora died at 88 and her husband in his 90s. They rest together in Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Canyon, Idaho.^[5]
