James McDaniel, son of William Gray McDaniel and Sarah (Couch) McDaniel, was born on 24 May 1812 in Barnwell County, South Carolina.[1]
He married Elvinia Brown Johnston, daughter of Robert Dugan Johnston and Milda (McKinney) Johnston, about 1830.[1]
James died on 5 November 1894 in Gwinnett County, Georgia and was buried at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Snellville, Gwinnett County, Georgia. His memorial has photos, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
