Biography

Ellen (McDermot) Bird was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.

Ellen was born about 1819.

1836 she married Thomas Bird. When they married a house was constructed for them in Emerald Grove on the grounds close to where Thomas would run McDermot’s mills. [1]
