Geoffrey McDonald was born in New South Wales, Australia
Geoffrey L McDonald was born in 1920 in Waverley, New South Wales, Australia. He was the eldest son of Doctor (later Sir) Charles McDonald and Elsie Hosie (later Lady McDonald). [1] He attended Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview, where he was Dux in 1937.
He became a medical doctor. He was elected President of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, like his father had been previously.
