Biography

John was born 24 August 1882. He was the son of Alexander McDonell and Catherine Campbell. ^[1]

Not found in Ontario with the correct month of birth after 1901. However, in the 1911 Census of Canada in MacLeod, Alberta can be found John and Mary McDonell, John born in August of 1882 in Ontario, Roman Catholic, and working as a train dispatcher for the C.P.R. ^[2]
