Sarah Ann Harriet McGilvray was born in 1864 in Manning River (now Taree), New South Wales (Australia). She was the second daughter of Scottish-born Alexander McGilvray and English-born Louisa Stace. [1]
Sarah married Edward Worthing, a descendant of the New South Wales pioneer Anlezark and Worthing families, in 1886 in Taree. [2] Making their home in Taree, (they do appear to have temporarily resided at Port Macquarie about 1898) they had six children:
Edward and Sarah retired to the south eastern suburbs of Sydney where he passed away on 25th May 1933. [3] Sarah passed away, aged about 78 years, in 1942 in Randwick, New South Wales. [4]
