Irene Louie McGoogan was born on December 4, 1928 in Balmain, New South Wales, Australia, daughter of Hugh Dunwoodie McGoogan (1890–1963) and Louisa Rachel Lonnon (1892–1983).

Irene (20) married Herbert Stanislaus Woodbury (21) (born on October 2, 1927; son of Herbert John Woodbury and Mary Josephine Hennessy) in 1949 in Sydney, New South Wales.^[1]

Irene died on July 22, 2014 in Kingswood, New South Wales, Australia, aged 85.^[2] She was buried in Penrith General Cemetery, Kingswood, Penrith City, New South Wales.^[3]
