Mary McGrew was born on Oct. 2, 1763 in Pennsylvania[1] to Finley McGrew and Dinah Cox.[2] Her birth was recorded at the Menallen Monthly Meeting.[2]
On Jun. 9, 1783, Finley McGrew produced a certificate to the Menallen Monthly Meeting for himself, wife Dinah and 8 children; James, Mary, Nathan, Finley, Dinah, Rebecca, Margaret and Jacob, from Hopewell Monthly Meeting bearing the date of Apr. 7, 1783 which was read and received.[3] Missing from this list was their eldest son, John.
Mary (McGrew) Ong died June 7, 1852, and was buried in Smithfield Quaker Cemetery, Smithfield, Ohio. [4][5]
