Biography
Isabella was born in 1743. She was the daughter of John McGrew and Elizabeth McGrew. She married John Maxwell and they had three sons (see below). The 1790 Census for York, Pennsylvania, has her as a head of household. She passed away in 1795.
The will for John Maxwell 1785 states the following;
Name Isabella Maxwell Description Wife Date 25 Jul 1785 Prove date 22 May 1792 Remarks Maxwell, John. Jul. 25, 1785. Executors: James Maxwell and Alexander McGrew. Tyrone Township. Wife: Isabella Maxwell. Children: James, Robert, and John. Granddaughter. Isabella Maxwell, parents' names not given.
