Ann McGrew was born about 1787 to Peter McGrew and Patience Hendricks.
On Mar. 23, 1808, a certificate was produced from the Menallen Monthly Meeting by Patience McGrew along with her four minor children; Peter Jr., Finley, Margaret and Rebecca and her two adult daughters; Ann and Mary, to Dunnings Creek Monthly Meeting which was read and accepted.[1]
Ann married Mr. Ross prior to Apr. 10, 1816 when she was disowned from the Dunnings Creek Monthly Meeting for accomplishing her marriage by the assistance of a magistrate with a man not in membership with friends.[2]
