Timothy McInerney was born on 7 May 1872 in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland[1]. He was the son of Patrick McInerney and Margaret Meehan.
Thady McInerney was baptised on 7 May 1872 with his residence given as Gowerhass. This is recorded in the Parish Registers of St Senan's Roman Catholic Church Kilrush, Diocese of Killaloe, County Clare. Sponsors were Thady Keane and Mary Keane[2].
In the 1901 Irish Census, conducted on 31 March 1901, Patrick, a farmer, and his wife Margaret are living in a household in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland[3]. Three unmarried sons, Timothy, Michael and Sinon, live with them. Sinon's occupation is given as Draper, Timothy and Michael as farmer's sons.
Margaret McInerney, widow aged 71, is the head of a household in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland, on 2 April 1911 when the 1911 Irish Census is taken. Her two unmarried son's, Timothy and Michael, both farmer's are in her household. Margaret reports that she was married 46 years, and had 7 children born alive of whom 4 still live[4].
Timothy McInerney, 66 year old bachelor farmer of Gowerhass, died of "apoplexy, Cardiac Failure", on 17 June 1940. Sister in law Delia McInerney of Gowerhass was the informant[5].
