Yvonne--I research McKee families in and around Pulaski Co KY--SE of Casey Co KY. I show Sarah Jane McKee b abt 1848 is the oldest child and dau of James M McKee and Susannah Dye of Casey County. James was the son of Matthew McKee m. Susannah Rouse 1823, lived in Casey County. James reports on census his father was born in Ireland. Sarah McKee married James Bale Dick 23 Sep 1872 in Casey Co. James B Dick is the son of Logan F Dick and Elizabeth Barbour Dick, Logan the son of John Dick, Jr. and grandson of John Dick Sr. who migrated from Chester Co SC. Sarah McKee had 10 siblings, a sister Matilda married Archibald Dick and a brother Isaiah possibly m. Louisa Dick. I have no information that this McKee family is Native American. Have you found documentation?
