Mary was born in 1837, probably in Bentra, Templecorran, County Antrim, Ireland, the daughter of William McKee, a farmer.
In 1857 she married Thomas Browne, a farmer from Islandmagee, County Antrim in Joymount Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Carrickfergus, County Antrim. She was recorded as a 22 year old from Ballybentra, Templecorran. The witnesses were John Nicholson and Margaret Cameron.[1]
In 1901 she was living with her husband, son William, niece Agnes Dempster and a farm servant at the family farm in Ballystrudder.[2]
Mary passed away in 1911 in Ballystrudder, Islandmagee, aged 74 years, from senile decay. She was the widow of a farmer. Her death was registered by Mary Smyth of Gransha who was present at her death.[3]
