Bess was born about 1801
Roderick Finlayson married Bess MacLennan on 9 March 1824 in Lochalsh[1]
In the 1841 census, Bess Finlayson (40), John Finlayson (13) and Annabella Finlayson (10) are living at South Erbusaig, Lochalsh[2]
In the 1861 census, John Finlayson (32), mother Betty Finlayson (60), brother-in-law Alexander Macrae (40), sister Isabella Macrae (30), niece Isabaella Macrae (1) and servant Mary Mcdonald (18) are living at Erbusaig, Lochalsh. All were born in Lochalsh[3]
Bess Finlayson died aged 86 on 7 Nov 1882[4][5]
