Biography

Lachlan McKay McLennan was born on 15 August 1851, in Lochcarron, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, John Evan McLennan, was 53 and his mother, Catherine McKay, was 35. He married Lodosca Almira Plumb on 19 October 1880, in Benton, Iowa, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Jefferson Township, Poweshiek, Iowa, United States for about 10 years. He died on 31 March 1935, in Belle Plaine, Benton, Iowa, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Belle Plaine, Benton, Iowa, United States.
