Rachel died in 1971 and was buried in Maxville Cemetery, Maxville, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties, Ontario, Canada.[6] Her husband was William Agassiz MacEwen. Her listed children included Florence Isobel MacEwen, Mary Elizabeth MacEwen, Peter Hugh MacEwen and William Rayside MacEwen.[7]
Rachel was in an obituary on 11 December 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She died on 10 December 1971 in Montreal.[8]
