Biography

When Sarah Elizabeth 'Lizzie' McMullan was born on September 15, 1844, in Georgia, her father, John, was 25, and her mother, Joyce, was 26. She married widower George Monroe Ward on November 11, 1873, in Hart, Georgia;[1] they had three children:

  • Sallie Teasley (1875–1967),[2]
  • Richard Elmer (1881–1958)
  • John W. Ward

She died on August 4, 1910, in her hometown at the age of 65, and was buried in Elberton, Georgia.[3]
