Lance Corporal Alex McNab was at the front with the 24th Royal Fusiliers when his brother died in 1917. He joined the war in Feb 1915 as a private, and was promoted to Lance Corporal in October of that year, remaining at that rank until his discharge in October 1917.[1]. Alexander also fought in South Africa in 1903[2]
