Biography

Taylor was born in 1887. He is the son of William A McNeese and his wife Margaret Beagle (also spelt Bregell, Beaghle in various records).

Taylor McNees, born 21 Mar 1887, son of William McNees and his wife Margaret Bregell, married Clyde Reynolds, born 14 Jun 1887, daughter of John Reynolds [Jacob Reynolds] and Anna Cowell [Annie Caldwell] on 21 Mar 1906 in Dearborn, Indiana, United States.[1]

The draft registration for World War 1 on 5 Jun 1917 at Fourth Ward Newport, Kentucky, described him as single, medium height, medium build, with blue eyes and auburn hair. He was employed as a box maker in Cincinnati, Ohio.[2] He had begun military service by the end of that year[3]. He was shipped out on the Khyber on 14 Jul 1918.[4] On 31 Aug 1918, he was on military service with battery “C”, serving as a private.[5] with the 64th Artillery[6] On 12 Aug 1919, he was mustered at Camp Zachary Taylor in Kentucky.[7]

Taylor L McNees, 32, divorced, son of Wm McNees and Margaret, married Addie Varner, 19, daughter of John Varner and Seddie Fields, on 29 Nov 1919 at Falmouth, Pendleton, Kentucky, United States.[8] The witnesses were R L McNees and Sarah McNees. They had at least two children before Sarah Addie McNees died at just 39 on 16 Jun 1939.[9]

He passed away in 1944 from a coronary thrombosis while driving a streetcar/tram. At the time of his death, he was a driver for the street railway. His wife was Minnie Cooper, and his father was (wrongly) recorded as John McNees.[10]
