In the 1850 census James (age 28), Farmer, was in Jackson, Wyandot, Ohio, United States.^[1]

James died on 22 April 1886 and was buried in Good Hope Cemetery, Wyandot County, Ohio, United States.^[2]

James was born March 28, 1821 in Brown Co., Ohio. His parents were David Samuel McQuown-412 and Mary Sloan-6013.

He married Sarah Spencer on Feb. 28, 1846 in Wyandot Co., Ohio. The ceremony was performed by G. C. Miller, Minister of the Gospel.

They had 10 children, all born in Ohio except Sarah L. who was born in Iowa.
