birth in 1881 in Chelsea of a Florence A. Grant with parents listed as Elwell R and Mary F . Florence A Grant died in 1883, and there her mother is listed as Fannie. The birth record for Edith Emma had mother's birthplace as Alna ME. Looking at the 1860 censu s for possibilities in Alna, there was a Mary F. Albee b. ca 1855. I found no Francis/France s or Fannie the right age in Alna. I realize parents could have moved from Alna, but since El well lists birth as Bath Me.
