Biography

David Mead was born in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, on October 10, 1701, to Ebenezer Mead and Sarah (Knapp) Mead. [1] On December 6, 1724, he purchased land from his father Ebenezer. [2] On May 21, 1731, he married Sarah Close in Greenwich, Fairfield County. [3] David Mead passed away on September 24, 1766 [4] and his will, written on June 23, 1761, was probated on October 7, 1766, in Stamford, Fairfield County. [5]
