Sarah was born August 14, 1753. She was the eldest of twelve children, born to James Mead and Mercy Mead Holmes.

Sarah married Wright Roberts and after his death, Solomon Purdy.
Death and Legacy
Sarah died at the age of twenty-five on February 14, 1777, at Rutland, Vermont.[2] She was buried in Center Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, USA. [3]
