Miriam was born in 1832. She was the daughter of Daniel Meader and Miriam Estell.
She married Hubbard Stone on 14 Sep 1854 in Hamilton County, Ohio.[1]
In 1856 the young family moved to Keokuk, Iowa where her husband worked in the real estate business.[2] They were still living there at the time of the 1860 Census.[3]
On 18 Dec 1861 her husband joined the 57th Ohio Infantry Regiment. Following the war, her husband returned home to Cincinnati, Ohio where he briefly worked as a merchant with her father, Daniel Meader.[4]
Around this time, they appear to have briefly moved to Louisiana. She and her husband had one daughter there:[5]
By 1870, the family had moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where her husband worked as a merchant.[2][5] They continued to live in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas for the remainder of her life, appearing there in the 1880, 1900, and 1910 Censuses.[6][7][8]
Her husband passed away on 25 Dec 1909 in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.[9][10] He is buried at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.[11]
She passed away on 04 Mar 1917. She was buried by her husband at Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.[12]
