Biography

Brother Means was enumerated as son at District 1206, Banks County, Georgia for the June 22, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as born 1876 in Georgia and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self John S Means, wife Mary E Means, daughter Alice M Means, son Hugh Means, son Thomas B Means, son Joseph B Means, daughter Frances E Means, daughter Maranda E Means and daughter Clara B Means.[1]

Arthur G Means was enumerated as son of the head of household in Militia District 812, Strange, Franklin County, Georgia for the June 6, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a farm laborer and born August 1876 in Georgia. He was single. Also included in the household are head Mary E Means and daughter Nettie L Means as seen in an image of the original census.[2]

Arthur G Means was enumerated as head of the household at Toccoa Road, Stranges District 812, Franklin County, Georgia for the May 5, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1878 in Georgia and single. He was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are mother Mary E Means, sister Nettie L Means and servant Andy Wadkins.[3]
