Biography

Anne Meese was the daughter of London Merchant Henry Messe and his wife Anne (Pert) Meese. Henry and Ann were married in 1675.^[1] The family reside in London, where Henry was a successful import/export merchant. He died in 1682. ^[2] Anne's mother died prior to 1719. Anne Meese, spinster, died in London by November of 1719. ^[3] She requested in her will to be buried in Mountnessing next to her beloved Mother. She made bequests to her four surviving Pert Aunts; Mary, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Alice, as well as her kinswoman Margaret Meese. ^[4]

Anne Meese, daughter of Henry and Ann Pert Meese did not marry Richard Bryant in Virginia.
