John Meillon OBE is Notable.

John Meillon OBE was a renowned Australian character actor, best known internationally for his role as Walter Reilly in Crocodile Dundee and Crocodile Dundee II. His voice was well known in Australia as the voice of Victorian Bitter.

John Meillon was born on the 1st of May, 1934 at Mosman, New South Wales, Australia to Theodor Meillon and Beatrice Callaghan. ^[1]

He married June Salter at St. James’s Church of England, Sydney, on 21 June, 1958. They were divorced in 1971.^[2]

He later married Rita "Bunny" Gibson on the 5th of April, 1972 in Sydney. ^[3]

John won multiple awards for acting, including:

-Logie: Best Individual Performance by an Actor (1975)

-AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (1977)

-Logie: Best Performance by an Actor in a Major Role (1979)

-Officer of the Order of the British Empire (1979)

-Raymond Longford award (Australian Film Institute) (1989)
