Biography

Geraldine was born on January 20, 1919 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Henry Meinecke and Amelia Arnst. Geraldine was a graduate of Vassar High School in Vassar, MI and the Saginaw General Hospital, School of Nursing. She married Edward E Peterson on November 9, 1940 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. They had 5 children together;

She was a longtime Registered Nurse. Edward died in 1967. Geraldine married a second time to Michael Sukarukoff.

Geraldine died on March 4, 2012 at the St. Mary's Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Wayne County, Michigan at the age of 93 years. She was buried on March 7, 2012 at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery located in Troy, Oakland County, Michigan.
