Biography
Emma Marintha Mellor was born on October 1, 1853 in All Saints, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, daughter of James Mellor (1819–1903) and Mary Ann Payne (1817–1895).[1]
In 1870, Emma (16) was living in Fayette, Sanpete with her son, William (19); and her siblings, James (50), Mary A (50), James (21), Clara A (16), and John C (10). [2]
Emma (18) married Joseph Bartholomew (21) (born on January 5, 1850 in Springville, IA (County of Potawatamie) USA; son of Joseph Bartholomew Sr. and Polly (Benson) Bartholomew) on November 27, 1871 in Salt Lake City, S-Lk, UT. Their children were:
- Amasa Franklin Bartholomew (1874–1918)
- Ella May Bartholomew (1877–1877)
- William Francis Bartholomew (1881–1963)
In 1880, Emma (26)'s occupation was 'keeps house'. She was living in household of Joseph Bartholomew (30) in Fayette, Sanpete with her husband, Joseph (30); and their children, Joseph W. (8), Amasa F. (5), and Emma F. (2). [3]
Emma died on January 9, 1899 in Fayette, Sanpete, Utah, United States, aged 45. She was buried in Fayette Cemetery, Fayette.[1]
