Biography
Annie Merchant was born in 1861. Her birth was registered in Clifton and her mother's maiden name was Shankland. [1]
In 1886 Annie married William Simmons in Bristol. [2] William died in 1894.
A child, Arthur Simmons, mother's maiden name Merchant was registered in Bedminster in 1889. [3]
On April 4th 1896 Annie married again, to Henry Gregory, in Bristol. Henry was a Clicker (an occupation in the Boot making trade), his father John was a Boot Maker. Annie's father George James Merchant was a Licensed Victualler. [4]
In 1911 Annie and Harry were living in Bristol with their 2 children. Harry was a Leather Goods Manufacturer. [5]
