The baptism record is difficult to read. (see pic), but this is definitely the one. He is a widower (Madeleine Roy) when he marries Marie Anne Campagna

[burial # 61, Paschal Mercier; On the fifth of March, one thousand eight hundred thirty five, by us, undersigned pastor of Saint Anselme, was interred, in the cemetery of this parish, the body of Paschal Mercier, farmer, deceased in this parish the eve before last, aged fifty eight years, spouse of the late Marie Anne Campagna, of this parish.
