Amelia was born on June 26, 1907 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Jacob Mertz and Katherine (Boulger) Mertz. She married
Walter Philip Ribble (1905-1989) on May 30, 1941 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. No record of any children from this union could be found.
Amelia died on November 16, 1970 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan at the age of 63 years. She was buried at the Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum located in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.
