Biography

Charles Michelson was born in Kansas.

Charles was born March 23, 1900 in Chanute, Neosho County, Kansas. He was the eldest of four children born to Paul C Michelson and Mary Elizabeth Roberts. He spent his youth until about the age of 15, living in Kansas.

At age 20, he married Eva Winifred Carr in Thurman, Fremont County, Iowa on Saturday, June 26, 1920 by Rev Charles William Forney at his home. He and his wife raised five children.

From 1920 to 1940 they farmed in the Fremont and Mills, Iowa county area. In October 1940, they purchased 160 acres in Lotts Creek Township, Ringgold county, Iowa (eight miles south of Mount Ayr) and moved their family there. They lived on this farm until September 1977, when they moved into their newly build home in Mount Ayr.

He passed away in Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa on March 20, 1988, and is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery located there.
