Grace married Lewis Wabel on Dec 31, 1918 in Lacon, IL at the Congregational Church parsonage. Lewis was 21 and Grace was 20. For their honeymoon they took the train to Peoria, IL. Lewis was a farmer and Grace was a school teacher in Whitefield Township. Her salary for 9 months was $495.00. Grace passed away at the Monte Cassino Nursing Home, in Toluca, IL. [2]
